The official announcement of the Lumia 650 budget smartphone is just around the corner. Reports suggest that Microsoft is planning to unveil the device on the 1st of February. But that’s not all the rumours are suggesting. Word is that the Lumia 650 might be the only Lumia device from Microsoft this year.

This news contradicts earlier reports that Microsoft will also launch the Lumia 750 and 850. Just yesterday, rumors about Microsoft’s Lumia 650 had emerged with a leaked image and some specs. Today, the alleged handset had passed the FCC hurdle, which means a launch is imminent. The leaked live image of the device also confirm a metal frame for a more premium finish.

The 5-inch 720p display device is likely to come bearing the Snapdragon 210 chipset clocking at 1.1GHz. A 2,000mAh battery pack in the 650 is small, especially when compared to the Lumia 640 (2,500mAh) and the Lumia 550 (2,100mAh).

Furthermore, it is the single-SIM variant that has been cleared by FCC with the model number RM-1152 suggesting the device will first launch in the United [...]

Not much has been spoken or revealed about Microsoft’s upcoming smartphone, Lumia 650. Indeed, the company has managed to keep a tight lid on the device. That is until now at least. Microsoft has been very busy prior to its December 2nd product launch in UK. Just having announced pre-orders for the Lumia 950 and 950 XL; they have now announced that the Lumia 950 will go on sale through the Microsoft Store.

The two smartphones are Microsoft’s flagship Windows 10 editions. The Lumia 950 is currently selling at $19.97 on contract, which is approximately Rs.1,320. We have some good news for all the Lumia users, Microsoft has finally started taking pre-orders for the Lumia 950 XL that will come with the new Windows 10 software installed. This version will not be available at all carriers, so if you are in the US you can purchase an unlocked variant of the smartphone. Over the past few months, Microsoft has been leaking images of its two new flagship phones – the Lumia 950 and the Lumia 950 XL. The handsets will be launched on the 6th of October in New York City, along with the Surface Pro 2 and Microsoft Band 2

We already know that Microsoft has been preparing to launch two new Lumia devices in October. Today, new reports suggest that new leaks show us the official press renders for both devices codenamed – Cityman and Talkman.

It is expected that the devices will be called the Lumia 950 (Talkman) and Lumia 950 XL (Cityman). Leaked renders show a slight hump for the camera at the rear, both seem to sport a Windows logo at the back and sport a square look. The Cityman is cyan in colour and the talkman is shown in black.
