LG has released the Optimus VU smartphone in Korea on saturday, that truly banks in on the success of the Samsung Galaxy Note, because of the large screen size and included Stylus pen. The device also features a nice 4×3 aspect ratio, 1024×768 resolution screen, which has a stylus friendly 5-inch IPS LCD display. The phone is also extremely slim at just 8.5mm thickness. It will be available in March with select carriers in Korea. LG promises an upgrade to ICS within 3 months for device availability. For shutterbugs the device features an 8MP camera at back and a 1.3 MP front snapper.
Although major companies including Dell and Samsung have already confirmed that they will stop support for Netbook and further manufacture, Intel pushes forward with its new Atom lineup for those who may be still interested. The new Cedar trail Atom N2600 and N2800 promise unto ten hours of battery life on a single charge, also interesting is that Intel claims that the processors are also capable if “weeks of standby” . The new processors are heading to major manufacturers including those who said to to netbooks Acer, Asus, HP, Lenovo, Samsung, and Toshiba.

Motorola Mobility Droid Xyboard in two sizes: a larger 10-inch design and a smaller 8-inch may be coming out soon. Several images and rumors later the company finally showed their goods to Cnet. Both come with a 1.2GHz CPU, 1GB of RAM and a five-megapixel camera, along with a 1.3 megapixel front-facing cam. They’re also coated in Corning Gorilla Glass.
Cnet said both are “thinner than a AAA battery and lighter than a paperback book.”

HTC has launched the Rezound for the Verizon networks in the US. Formerly known as the HTC Vigor, the device features a 4.3-inch 720p display, a dual-core 1.5GHz processor, with 1GB RAM, 16GB of internal storage / 16GB on microSD card, 1,620mAh battery, WiFi and Bluetooth 3.0.
The handset will come Ice Cream Sandwich-ready, but currently has Sense 3.5 skinned on top of Gingerbread 2.3.4. The device also has a 8 megapixel camera with f/2.2 sensor (capable of 1080p video capture). The box will also contain a pair of custom Beats Headphones like the one you see in the images below.
Sharp has released a waterproof phone called the Aquos 102SH, this comes just days after we saw news of the Fujitsu ISW11F. The Sharp Aquos has a decent spec sheet :

Poofing Pink is how I like it, The new Fujitsu Arrows Z ISW11f handset caught my attention because of two main things, the color and the fact that its waterproof. Lets also not forget that this phone comes with a awesome 13MP sensor for those Hi-Def Party Shots and videos. Currently only launched in Japan with KDDI.

According to Forbes, Nokia will use ST-Ericsson hardware to power at least some of its Windows Phones. The U8500 chipset is a Nokia loved dual core processor which will be housed within Windows Phone 7 handsets out of Nokia’s Stable.
According to several other reports the Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset might also be one of the first few chipsets to be used by Nokia, Quickly to be followed by ST-U8500 for its powerhouse WP7 lineup in 2012-13.

Maeli Business Newspaper reports “a high-ranking” company official has disclosed that Samsung plans to release a 2 Ghz phone latest by next year. But, remember that 2 Ghz is a total of 2 x 2Ghz cores not 1Ghz cores. According to the report Samsung also plans to sell the chips to other manufacturers, so that you can enjoy boosted performance in your favorite brand.
