Nokia 8.2 Reported To Feature Snapdragon 735 And 32MP Popup Camera
HMD Global, the parent company of Nokia, had launched the Nokia 8.1 smartphone back in December 2018. The handset carried Qualcomm Snapdragon’s 710 SoC and was a mid-range smartphone. Now, a new leak has revealed key features of its successor, the Nokia 8.2.
Rumoured Specs
Nokia 8.2, similar to its predecessor 8.1, is also expected to be an upper mid-range smartphone. It means that it will be equipped with powerful specs right below flagship models like the Nokia 9 PureView. According to the source, the handset will sport a 32MP sensor at the front which will be housed on a motorized popup mechanism. Furthermore, it will be loaded with Android 10 Q along with Android One certification. For readers who do not know, Android One smartphones are guaranteed to receive two major OS update and 3 years minimum of security updates.
Nokia 8.2 will reportedly be equipped with 8GB of RAM alongside 256GB of internal storage. Previously, there had been reports claiming that Nokia is releasing two 5G smartphones. One is likely a to be a flagship-grade device while the other is likely powered by a Snapdragon 700 series chipset. Nokia 8.1 was an upper mid-range smartphone with premium build quality so it can be speculated that Nokia 8.2 features a 5G modem with the unreleased Snapdragon 735 chipset.

Speculated Pricing
Nokia launched the 8.1 in two storage and RAM variants that started from INR 26,999, hence, Nokia 8.2 might be priced within a similar bracket. It is possible that the latest iteration may touch the INR 30k mark or even cross it. Considering Xiaomi launched Redmi K20 with Snapdragon 730 starting at INR 21,999, Nokia might launch the 8.2 around the original 8.1’s asking price to stay competitive.
