The Apple iPhone 8 was launched on September 12. The iPhone 8 features the same display and resolution as the iPhone 7 from 2016 but, the new True Tone display feature adjusts the white balance according to the lighting for a brighter and sharper display. The iPhone 8 has the new A11 Bionic chipset under the hood and Apple’s own GPU promises great AR performance as well. The battery backup remains the same on the iPhone 8 as the iPhone 7 with an addition of wireless charging this time around.

Apple and Qualcomm’s patent war has gotten uglier, as some iPhone models have been banned from sale in Germany as well. Earlier, a few iPhone models had been banned in China, following a lawsuit filed by Qualcomm. Allegedly, Apple is using technology patented by Qualcomm. These were related to photo editing and arranging apps on a touchscreen. Apple seems to have found a fix for the China problem by rolling out a software update.
