Mattel to Launch Redesigned VR View-Master this Year
Mattel, the developer behind the View-Master VR headset that was released last year with a version based on the Google Cardboard recently unveiled an updated design at the New York Toy Fair. The new version will come wit better optical lenses, focal adjustment and a headphone connector.
In terms of looks, the new View-Master looks similar to last year’s version. The smartphone bracket in the front, however, get a redesign so as to make the headset compatible with more phones in any size and shape.
The new VR will come with a price bump from $30 to $40, but has the needed updates and features to justify the $10 dollar hike. The View-Master VR headset will go on sale later this year.
