Motorola Acknowledges Nexus 6 Defect, Offers Replacements
Recently, there have been numerous reports of defective Nexus 6 units being shipped to customers. Multiple buyers around the web have been reporting that the Nexus 6’s back cover is coming unglued.
According to various Reddit posts, this is due to defective batteries that are expanding, causing the back cover to raise from its housing. Disgruntled users have reported the issue on social networks such as Twitter and Google+ and on Reddit forums.

Motorola, which manufactured the Nexus 6 for Google, has acknowledged the issue and has said that it has come across a number of users who’ve reported the issue. The company is even ready to offer replacements to affected users.
Several users have been asked to get in touch with the customer care team to get their units replaced. Some noticed the issue when they took their device out of the box, while others took time, saying the battery expanded over time.
