The company says that other Motorola devices will also be getting the update soon.
Lollipop, the latest version of the Android mobile operating system, was first released for Nexus 6. The update for the Moto X (2nd Gen) was first rolled out in Brazil, Mexico and the US.
Here are the steps to update the Moto X (Gen 2) to Lollipop:
- Go to the app menu and select ‘Settings’ icon.
- Select ‘About Phone’.
- Select ‘System updates’.
- Select ‘Download’.
- Select ‘Install’ once the download is done.
- Restart your phone once you have installed it.
With added fluidity through UI of the new Lollipop, users will now experience improved natural touch screen interactions. Along with that, the new Android update lets you have a look at the notifications on the lock screen itself and facilitates dismissing them without unlocking it.
