HTC HD7 Review + Video + Samples
Phone and Connectivity
The Device has a nice list of specs in terms of phone features the OS and interface are absolutely brilliant and they are built in tandem to handle calls. The phone features your regualar specs- 3G, HSDPA, WIFI and Bluetooth. The network connectivity is absolutely brilliant and commendable. The device was built to be a phone- that purpose is solved.
The built in interface will let you socially stay connected with your accounts on Facebook, Twitter and the likes. Will also bring you all your updates directly to one live tile on the main screen. Pretty connected if you ask us.
The wifi connections dropped constantly in our case, and we had to reactivate the Wi-Fi several times to get a proper connection. Also the device tends to access the Data plan rather than wifi. This may be a problem for Pay as you Go data users.
Battery
Battery Life on the HD7 unfortunately is poor , poor and poor. With just under 2 hours of talk time it feels like the display or something is simply sucking the life force from the device. With a 4.3 inch brilliant display the 1340 mah battery seems underpowered.
The battery failed us on so many levels that we decided not to run the tests for battery life in the first place. Stating the obvious the call time – was approx 2 Hours and video playback was about the same, with browsing somewhere close to 2.5 hours.
