Gorilla Glass Now On More Than A Billion Consumer Electronics Devices
Corning’s Gorilla Glass is widely popular and incredibly strong. We’ve seen various durability tests at CES, both for Gorilla Glass and Gorilla Glass 2. If you have the Motorola RAZR HD LTE, Samsung Galaxy S III, HTC One S, or any of the plethora of devices on the market, then you are part of the one billion strong.
Corning announced their Q3 2012 numbers today and Gorilla Glass sales specifically brought in $363 million, up 21% over last year. Apart from the revenue, the real number is that Gorilla Glass is now on over 1 billion devices, such as smartphones and tablets.
