The Mate X is the first foldable smartphone from Chinese telecommunications giant Huawei. The smartphone folds on the outside which is referred to as ‘Falcon Wing Design’ by the company. Noteworthy, the foldable smartphone is also 5G compatible which is the latest standard in communication technology. It has flagship grade specifications and is also the most expensive smartphone by Huawei.
Earlier this year, a senior Xiaomi executive showcased a foldable smartphone that could transform into a large-screen tablet. Following the event, Samsung and Huawei launched their first foldable smartphones which are dubbed the Galaxy Fold and Mate X respectively. Unfortunately, due to quality issues, the launch of both these handsets have been pushed back to September.

American multinational company, Google is at the forefront of technology, be it software or hardware. In the month of February, the Chinese electronics giant, Huawei unveiled the revolutionary Mate X which is the company’s first foldable smartphone. Earlier this month, Huawei released a statement declaring that the commercial availability of the innovative device has been delayed to September which was previously set for June. A freshly granted patent to the Huawei suggests that the company might already be working on the Mate X successor that has an updated design.
