New Hitachi ATMs coming to SBI and Axis Banks. Automated Deposits, passbook updates and flying pings!
Okay the last one was a little over the top, But the new tie u b/w Tech Hardware specialist Hitachi and our own SBI and AXIS Banks will enable a new breed of ATMs. The totally auto mated machines are state of the art with complete banking solutions right at your fingertips. Hitachi plans to tie up with eight more banks by the end of the next financial year with total revenues of 1 billion yen from the new HOTS ATM’s.
The new machines have voice/vocal feedback and a capacitive touchscreen display. They also have automated deposits to accounts, passbook updating and printing facilities, Manage fixed deposits, allow you to request cheque books and basically make the account handler search for another job.
These simple self-service functions will help increase branch efficiency tremendously as it frees the branch officials to attend to other works while at the same time it eliminates the need for customers to wait in long queues at their bank branches.”
