Geekbench Listing
The latest software upgrade that the Redmi Note 5 Pro had received was the MIUI 10 update. But it looks like the company is all set to take one of its most popular phones to the next level. The phone was spotted on Geekbench, running on Android 9. This means that the update for the same is around the same and will be rolled out to users soon. If this update will happen, it will make it the second major software update for the device, which is not very common in Xiaomi devices. Adding to that, it will also make it one of the most speediest updates to reach a device which is not so recent.
However the Geekbench listing also provided another interesting bit of information. A version of the Redmi Note 5 Pro was spotted with the Snapdragon 660 processor. The Redmi Note 5 Pro was initially launched with the Snapdragon 636 processor. Interestingly, even the newly launched Redmi Note 6 Pro runs on the 636 chipset. It is possible that Xiaomi might be launching a second variant of the Redmi Note 5 Pro with the 660 chipset.
