However, the smartphone still has an older 16:9 aspect ratio display which makes it look a bit archaic when compared to other budget smartphones in India. According to a listing on TENAA, the company is most likely to solve this issue with the Xiaomi Mi 6X. Similarly, the device is likely to launch in India as the Xiaomi Mi A1 (2018) or the Mi A2.
Unlike a leak, the device is officially listed on TENAA with the model number M1804D2SC. This means that the smartphone is ready for its mass production and might launch soon. This time around, the company hasn’t played much with respect to the build quality. However, changes like an iPhone X-style camera module and an 18:9 display are some of the visible changes found in the listing. Similarly, the design looks a lot more premium than the Redmi Note 5 Pro, which has plastic antenna bands.
