Samsung Galaxy S8 Users To Receive Android 8.0 Oreo Beta Update
Samsung has announced that select Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ users in the US, UK and South Korea will soon get the Beta update of Android 8.0 Oreo. Samsung had announced that its 2017 flagship smartphone lineup which includes the Galaxy S8 and S8+, and the Galaxy Note8 will receive Android 8.0 Oreo update by January 2018.
The Android 8.0 Oreo beta version has the new ‘Samsung Experience 9.0’ on top. The South Korean tech giant announced:
Previously known as ‘TouchWiz’, ‘Samsung Experience’ is based on the Android OS and has expanded beyond the user interface to provide Galaxy users with a consistent and seamless experience across all Samsung mobile software, apps and services. This change is in recognition of the increasing suite of unique services Samsung has developed for the Galaxy devices.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ were launched in March 2017 and were the first Android phones to have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset. The two phones also set the precedence for the following flagships with a near bezel-less design.
