    Apple Launches iPhone 11

Apple has updated their 2019 lineup of the iPhone with the iPhone 11. This is more a revision to the iPhone XR which retains the design and aesthetic.

The design however uses a new square block on the back to house the new dual cameras. The dual camera allows portrait mode for humans and non human shots which was not possible on the iPhone XR. The cameras also shoot 4k 60p across both cameras. The difference here is that one of the cameras is an Ultra wide instead of telephoto.

The iPhone 11 also adds a new night mode which is automatically enabled for low light environments. The front camera also gets bumped to 12MP along with 4K 60fps video capture and Slow Mo videos on the front camera.

There are also new portrait studio lighting effects which look impressive.

The display on the Apple iPhone 11 is a 6.1 inch Liquid Retina display also similar to the iPhone XR. But the innards get an upgrade with a new Apple A13 Bionic chip.

The Apple iPhone 11 retains the iP68 water resistance along with an aluminum body.

iPhone 11 also improves the battery, with Apple claiming an additional 1 hour of battery life.

The Apple iPhone 11 starts at US$ 699. In India the iPhone 11 will be available in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB models in purple, green, yellow, black, white and PRODUCT(RED) starting at INR 64,900.

  • 2021 Apple iPhone Said To Feature An In Display Fingerprint Sensor

2021 Apple iPhone Said To Feature An In Display Fingerprint Sensor

Apple had bid farewell to its Touch ID fingerprint security solution since the launch of the iPhone X. The feature of fingerprint for protection was first introduced in iPhone 5S and had been a staple for the next couple of generations. Now, Apple has seen a shift towards Face ID for its primary source of security and has been incorporated in its flagships. According to a new report, Apple might reintroduce Touch ID with an in-display fingerprint scanner with its 2021 iPhone.

    Apple iPhone

The new technology will reportedly be available with Apple’s facial recognition solution in two years. In-display fingerprint sensors are not new by any means but the tech giant has yet to incorporate the technology. Previously, Apple was reported to have been working on the technology since 2017 according to patents but has held off from its induction. The reason for this could probably be blamed on the technology itself. Currently, in-display sensors are bulky module sizes and draw more power than conventional fingerprint scanners.

    Apple iPhone

According to analysts, the problems that current-gen smartphones face should be dealt with within the next two years. It would allow for a hassle-free introduction of the technology. Furthermore, Apple iPhones have also rumoured to likely use an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. The relatively new technology is also seemingly a better match for the Apple Watch for security purposes. The Apple Watch does not feature any form of biometric security as of right now, hence, the potential of this is far-reaching. Additionally, Touch ID and Face ID security systems being used together for future two-factor authentication can make the systems highly secure and less vulnerable to hacking.

Conclusively, these are still analytical speculations and, although highly likely, is yet to be confirmed by any official channels. Apple 2021 iPhone is two years away so drawing concrete conclusion is difficult. It is still unconfirmed if the 2019 iPhone won’t feature Touch ID of any form. Hence, readers are advised to not be hopeful if the feature makes it to 2019 iPhone. More information is expected to available in the arriving months, stay tuned for updates.

  • The Entire 2020 Apple iPhone Lineup Will Support 5G

The Entire 2020 Apple iPhone Lineup Will Support 5G

5G networking is one of the popular buzzwords that rose in the year 2019. The latest bandwidth is credited to be faster than its previous generation, namely 4G, and has already been introduced in certain markets. Unfortunately, a lot of issues are still plaguing the advancements with slow adoption and spotty coverage overall. Since 2019 saw the mainstream introduction, 2020 may see a complete integration of the newer networking bandwidth. Now, according to a renowned analyst, Apple is reportedly also jumping on the 5G bandwagon with its 2020 iPhone.

    Apple iPhone

Despite being a year away from release, the 2020 iPhone is already garnering hype and gaining traction. It is caused by news surfacing that report of the upcoming Apple lineup sporting exciting new features. Additionally, the 2019 iPhones will arrive in September and are unlikely to have 5G networking capabilities. Apple’s direct competitors, the Android OEMs have already shifted to the latest bandwidth generation in certain flagships and entry-level 5G devices are expected to arrive in early 2020.

    Samsung S10 5G

Previously, we covered news regarding 2020 iPhones featuring 5G, however, it was speculated that only the expensive versions would make the cut. Now, reports suggest that the entire 2020 lineup of Apple smartphones will be supported. The move might be caused by the ever-increasing competition with its Android competitors; especially Chinese manufacturers that price their handsets aggressively.

Furthermore, Apple is planning to include sub-6GHz and mmWave on all 2020 iPhone models. mmWave band refers to the ultra-high frequency which 5G uses for its extremely quick speeds with low latency. A few OEMs have only introduced sub-6GHz in smartphones for borderline 5G capabilities and at a lower price. Apple to save additional cost will employ both wavebands for overall clarity and efficiency during development. Conclusively, the reports are still rather unconfirmed but are promising nonetheless, stay tuned for more updates.

  • 2020 Apple iPhone Will Feature A 120hz Samsung Made AMOLED Display

2020 Apple iPhone Will Feature A 120hz Samsung Made AMOLED Display

In a bid to be ever innovative, OEMs have tinkered with each and every aspect a smartphone has to offer. For example, the display of a handset is one of its fundamental components with which serves the medium of interaction. Now, there are many companies that offer a display refresh rate higher than the standard 60Hz panel on their devices; the simple increase in refresh rate translates to a massive increase in responsiveness and significantly improved user experience. According to a fresh report, Apple is now also seeking to incorporate a ‘faster’ display on its future generation of iPhones.

A renowned leakster shared on Twitter, that Apple is possibly looking into a higher refresh rate screen for its 2020 iPhones. The tech giant is reportedly in talks with leading component suppliers including Samsung and LG who specialise in smartphone displays. Hence, the upcoming iPhone of the following year is likely to feature a display that can switch between 60hz and 120Hz. Notably, the new display could be akin to the 120Hz ProMotion display that is featured on the iPad Pro or employ a similar technology.

    Apple iPhone
    iPhone 11 Concept Renders

ProMotion was developed to offer a seamless user experience that would enable a responsive ‘feel’ alongside amazing multi media consumption. Furthermore, it can be said that Apple is looking to better its smartphone offerings making them all the more appealing for its customers worldwide. The year 2019 wasn’t as relatively notable for the company with modest sales volume; but the arriving 2019 flagships and 2020 iPhones could potentially place it on the top of another mobile arms race.

    Apple iPhone
    iPhone XR

The company introduced its ProMotion display on its iPad Pro back in 2017. It was essentially a smart 120Hz display which adapted its refresh rate according to the content viewed; basically a dynamic refresh rate. The new display on the 2020 iPhone will sport a refresh rate doubling that of any current gen flagships offerings. Implications of Apple’s shift towards a uniform higher refresh panel across its flagship lineup is huge. We may soon see more OEMs adopting better and faster display panels on their flagships by default, meaning it could be a new industry standard soon.

  • Future Apple iPhones Will Feature A ToF 3D Depth Camera

Future Apple iPhones Will Feature A ToF 3D Depth Camera

Apple is yet to launch the 2019 iPhones which will allegedly be called the iPhone XI, iPhone XI Max and iPhone XR 2019 or XI R. However, news regarding its 2020 smartphones have already started popping up. According to a new report, the American company has asked its supply chain partners to supply VCSEL components for a rear ToF camera lens. The sensor is said to be incorporated in its 2020 lineup of flagship smartphones.

    Apple iPhone

VCSELs stands for Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Lasers which are a critical component of Apple’s TrueDepth camera. It is found in the iPhone XR, XS and XS Max and enables features such as Face ID, Animoji and Portrait selfies as well as proximity-sensing capabilities of AirPods. The incorporation of a ToF camera system will be a significant improvement from TrueDepth owing to more advanced laser technology. Basically, Apple is upgrading the components housed in the current generation of iPhones allowing for added functionality.

    Apple iPhone
    iPhone XS Max

TrueDepth utilizes tens of thousands of laser dots to accurately map a users’ face that offers a secure authentication process. Contrastingly, ToF sensors measure the time taken for a laser to bounce off surrounding objects to create a 3D image; it is similar to how RADARS detect objects by bouncing signals of varying wavelengths. Hence, the ToF provides a more accurate depth perception and better measurement of virtual objects placements. It will essentially allow depth being captured in photos with greater quality.

    Apple iPhone 2020
    Apple iPhone XR

Apple iPhone 2020 could be able to scan areas up to 15 feet from the device. Current generation iPhones with TrueDepth only work at distances up to 25 to 50cms in comparison. With this, the tech giant is reportedly two years ahead of its competition in the region of 3D sensing technology. Sony is claimed to be the supplier for the ToF technology as Apple is rumoured to be in talks with the Japanese company. However, the company had also invested $390 million (approx. INR 2687 crores) in Finisar Corp which also supplies VCSELs.

Earlier reports had claimed that the 2019 iPhones would also incorporate the new feature. However, Apple has put its plans for AR/VR based technology development on hold for now. The 2020 iPhones could have Apple again incorporating a major distinctive feature that sets it apart from its competitors. Unfortunately, no official statement from the company has been given out yet. Updates will be provided once more information is available, so stay tuned.

  • Apple To Introduce In Display TouchID In iPhones Starting Next Year

Apple To Introduce In Display TouchID In iPhones Starting Next Year

Apple is expected to launch three new iPhones in the month of September this year. These devices will be upgraded versions of the iPhone XR, iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max respectively. While the launch of the smartphones is highly anticipated; leaks regarding the handsets have revealed that they will be just an iterative update over their predecessor. The company is instead expected to make some major changes with the iPhones starting next year. Now, in a new report, noted Apple analyst Ming-Chi Quo has revealed that at least one of the iPhones released next year may have an In Display TouchID. This suggests that the company may be planning on ditching the FaceID authentication feature soon.

    In Display TouchID

    Apple iPhone

As mentioned above, iPhones starting the year 2020 may sport an In Display TouchID; which is what Apple calls the fingerprint sensor in its smartphones. This would also result in a smaller front facing notch, which was introduced with the iPhone X in the year 2017. It means that the upcoming devices will see a significant increase in their screen to body ratio. However, the analyst also reveals that Apple may be planning to phase out the FaceID face authentication feature starting next year. It is expected to be fully removed from all the company’s smartphones until the year 2021. Unfortunately, it is not known if the upcoming in display TouchID will use an optical or an ultrasonic sensor for authentication.

Apple is expected to launch an entirely new lineup of handsets next year. These have been revealed to be iPhones with a screen size of 6.7 inches, 5.4 inches and 6.1 inches respectively. Notably, all the three new models may feature an OLED display, which was reserved only for the most premium devices in the lineup. While it is not certain, a fourth device, which will also have TouchID support may be exclusively launched in China alongside the 2020 series of iPhones. It is recommended to take these reports with a grain of salt, as it is unlikely that Apple will be giving up on FaceID after just 3 years of introducing it.

  • Apple Increases iPhone Production After Huawei US Ban

Apple Increases iPhone Production After Huawei US Ban

Apple and Huawei have been neck-and-neck in regards to their global smartphone market share. The lead is taken by Samsung while the aforementioned companies go back and forth for the second place. Huawei had almost cemented its lead when the US-China trade wars severely hampered the company’s business. A new report now points at Apple raising its iPhone production following the ban on the Chinese company.

    Apple

Huawei had been accused of installing backdoors on its networking equipment and providing the data to its home Government, China. The ban sought to isolate the eastern tech giant due to concerns regarding data security by the US Government. Apple is reportedly taking advantage of the ban and is increasing the production of its handsets across the entire quarter. The report has claimed that the American company will make an incremental rise over past estimates.

Apple was originally reported to have planned manufacturing about 39 million units, which has now been estimated to rise to 40 million. The increase will last till the end of Q2, that is the end of June. It has been speculated that Apple is increasing production to respond to increasing demand for the iPhone in a few markets. The increase should fill the gap in the market left behind by Huawei, one of the largest smartphone OEM.

    iPhone

Apple is predicted to focus 75% of its increased production on iPhone XR, iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max models. The remainder will be spread largely across the iPhone 7 and iPhone 8 lineups. The bump is a temporary measure as the tech giant cannot hope to maintain the rise in the long run. Apple could potentially warrant US tariffs on iPhone sales due to the production of its devices in China.

    iPhone XR

Ming-Chi Kuo released a report discussing the iPhone lineup of the year 2020. As was expected from Apple, he claims that the company will introduce new smartphones capable of supporting 5G; the next generation of mobile networks. In a total launch of three smartphones, all of them will feature an OLED display and have a display size of 6.7 inch, 5.4 inch and 6.1 inch respectively. While the former two are the successors to the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max, the latter is the 2020 counterpart of the iPhone XR; which currently sports an LCD display. Out of all the three new devices, only the two more premium will support 5G networks, with the iPhone XR successor for 2020 featuring LTE connectivity.

The change in display sizes and configurations in the 2020 lineup of iPhones are expected to provide a significant upgrade to the consumers. For fans of a smaller iPhone, the 5.4 inch OLED 5G variant seems to be the perfect option. On the other hand, the bigger screen on the 6.7 inch OLED 5G supporting iPhone; in 2020 means a bigger screen real estate for content consumption. The iPhone XR successor for 2020 will also reportedly feature an OLED display as mentioned above while retaining the same size as its predecessor. Kuo has been known to be accurate in his predictions; about future iPhones and Apple products, so his speculations seem genuine. However, we will have to wait until next year to confirm the same.

  • iPhones Valued At $19 Million Stolen By ‘Fraud Ring’

iPhones Valued At $19 Million Stolen By ‘Fraud Ring’

A gang of fraudsters have reportedly stolen $19 million (approx. Rs. 132 crores) worth of iPhones over the past seven years in the United States of America. The FBI and NYPD aptly named the gang ‘Fraud Ring’, which was run by six people that called themselves ‘Top Dogs’. The gangs used counterfeit debit cards and fake IDs to buy new iPhones to be sold for high prices in the black market.

The payment method that involved instalments enabled the scam to go undetected. A detailed report has been uploaded online regarding the fraud case. The victims of the scam included customers whose accounts were compromised along with respective carriers. The gang, possessing the debit cards and fake identification bought iPhone units from stores posing as the original account holders. The reason listed by the scammers was to upgrade to a newer handset on their previously existing accounts. Fraudsters stretched the scammed devices instalments over many months, that later showed up on the actual customer’s bill.

    Fraud

The perpetrators are being charged with felony counts of mail fraud, conspiracy, and aggravated identity theft. A total of 34 states in the US were affected while the exact number of individuals have yet to be disclosed. One of the accused co-operated with the authorities and revealed the workings of the Fraud Ring in exchange for a reduced sentence. It has been reported that the ‘Top Dogs’ took the largest chunk of the revenue, while the middlemen were responsible for all illegal activities like stealing identities by scamming customers. The bottom level involved drivers and runners that made rounds to various destinations to commit the fraud and ship the iPhone units back.

    iPhones

The co-operating witness claimed to have joined the gang in 2013 and has made about 18 trips in total. Fraud Ring paid $100 for each iPhone that was stolen by him during that period. A shipping company (back in 2014) was discovered in possession of 250 phones, fraud cards, driver’s licenses, and passports after an employee opened one of the packages.

  • Apple To Focus On Devices Other Than The iPhone In The Future

Apple To Focus On Devices Other Than The iPhone In The Future

Apple, in a bold step of decentralizing focus, has decided to shift its vision towards the ‘peripheral’ products with more operational independence. Since the dawn of the iPhone, each new generation of the handset saw the inclusion of new technology within or alongside it. Products made by Apple were only in rare cases focused on providing an entirely standalone experience overall.

    Apple

The iPad serves as a great example, marketed as a laptop replacement with more freedom in mobility while not sacrificing power. In most other cases devices developed like the Apple Watch only seemed to exist for the sake of supplementing the iPhone and its user experience.

Apple’s upcoming developer conference seeks to draw a road map for the company’s plans on moving away from the iPhones glory, around which products were based. The keynote presentation will have the upper echelon of the tech giant showcase the latest generations of Apple devices and software in San Jose. Going forward Apple seeks to make the Watches more independent, iPads that will actually reduce the needs for laptops, and cross-platform applications to run on every Apple products.

    Future Of Apple Watch

Made to be the next great leap in innovation after the iPhone in 2015, the device has yet to reach the level that the handset has achieved years prior. Apple Watch which had the potential to push computing to even smaller frames while still providing the functionality to users had ended up relying on the iPhone.

However, with the inclusion of cellular connectivity support to the device two years ago and the upcoming software update with watchOS 6, the company will further branch off the Watch and the iPhone. The new update will bring features like an on-board App Store with calculator and voice recorder alongside new messaging capabilities.

    iPad’s Potential

As brought up previously, the iPad has been marketed often being tagged as the worthy replacement for laptops. Apple has a more than capable hardware lineup which has beaten laptop grade processors in the past in performance but lacks severely when discussed by the software aspects.

    Apple iPad Pro

The company seeks to improve on the OS that’ll give users more functionality and not something that would seem like a tweaked version of the iPhone iOS. Planned updates to include features like using multiple apps simultaneously and a refreshed Home Screen have been announced.

    Cross-Platform App Ecosystem

Seeking to aid developers, Apple will soon provide tools for iOS applications to be made available to other platforms within the company’s ecosystem. Applications will now be ported over to the Mac desktops and MacBook laptops, following the example of the iPad receiving its own versions of Apple’s News, Voice Memos, Home, and Stock apps from the Mac. This points towards a future with a single version of an App being available across every platform by Apple.

Eleven New Apple iPhone Models Listed Online On The EEC Database

American technology giant Apple is expected to unveil three new iPhone models in the month of September this year. These smartphones will be the successor of the iPhone XS, XS Max and the iPhone XR launched last year. In the latest leak, the database of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) has listed eleven models numbers of Apple’s unreleased iPhones. While the eleven models from Apple may seem like a distant dream for enthusiasts, this may be nothing more than three models with region-specific model numbers.

    About The Leak

    Apple iPhone 2019 model numbers

The EEC has listed multiple, eleven to be precise models of new iPhones in its database on the 23rd of May. It reveals the upcoming devices run on the iOS 12 which was released last year, and the handsets at the time of their launch will run on the rumoured iOS 13 out of the box. The model number added to the EEC database include A2111, A2160, A2161, A2215, A2216, A2217, A2218, A2219, A2220, A2221, and A2223. As the previous generation of iPhones had the model number in the A210X series, the aforementioned numbers most likely belong to their successors. Unfortunately, more details about the smartphones are not known yet.

  • 2019 iPhone And iPad Pro Models To Have Enhanced Antennas For Better Indoor Reception

2019 iPhone And iPad Pro Models To Have Enhanced Antennas For Better Indoor Reception

American electronics giant Apple is expected to launch three new iPhones and updated variants of the iPad Pro tablets later this year. The latest research note from renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, he predicts both the smartphones and tablets will make use of new antenna technology. According to Kuo, who has been notably accurate with his leaks in the past, the iPhones and iPads will shift from using the Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP) design to the Modified-PI material antennas when they launch later in 2019. The shift to the new antenna technology is expected to make mobile networks indoors more reliable.

    LCP vs. MPI Antennas

    Apple iPad Pro

As mentioned above, Apple will shift the antenna design in its upcoming devices from LCP to MPI material. LCP or Liquid Crystal Polymer design of the antenna is a low cost organic flexible layer that has some unique electrical properties making it suitable for antennae. It also behaves consistently across the entire radio frequency range, has a very low signal loss, making it useful for the application of 5G, the next generation of mobile connectivity. The LCP material is vastly seen in the application in products like Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tags and mobile phones.

Modified-PI material for antennae, on the other hand, offers the same performance but are significantly more affordable. Interestingly, Apple uses six LCP antennas in its current generation of iPhones, namely the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and the iPhone XR. These six antennas will be replaced by two MPI and four LCP antennas in the upcoming iPhones and iPads. However, the analyst claims Apple will make use of the LCP antennas primary in the year 2020. This is because of the advantage of the technology for use in 5G devices, which the company is expected to introduce starting next year. Apple is expected to launch the new iPhones in the month of September later this year, while the iPad Pro is expected to be unveiled at the end of this year or early next year.

Apple Announces $58 Billion Revenue In Q2 2019 As iPhone Sales Drop By 30%

Apple, one of the biggest technology companies in the world released its quarterly earnings on April 30. According to the reports, the company earned US$ 58 billion in revenue and $11.56 billion in profits. While the company stopped revealing the sales of iPhones, iPads and Macs starting last year, a separate report from the International Data Corporation (IDC) has also been announced, revealing the same. It stated the global smartphone market saw a decline of around 6 percent Year on Year (YoY) compared to the same quarter in the year 2018. This led to Apple iPhones performing the worst out of the bunch, seeing a sharp sales decline of 30 percent over last year.

    Apple’s Revenue For The Quarter

Apple earlier predicted revenue between US$ 55 billion and US$ 59 billion for this quarter of the year. While the actual number hits the predicted mark, it is slightly lower than the US$ 61.1 billion the company announced the same quarter last year. The lower number is credited due to the gradually diminishing hardware sales. Despite the decrease in revenue, the CEO of Apple, Tim Cook was noted saying the company has hit an all-time record for services and has seen a strong momentum of Wearables and Home accessories category. According to him, more details about the companies revenues and sales will be shared at the 30th Annual WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference) scheduled for the month of June.

Apple is expected to launch three new iPhones in the month of September this year. These smartphones will be the successor to the iPhone XR, iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max respectively that were launched last year. In the latest report by a Japanese blog, it is claimed the company will include new accessories with the upcoming iPhones. According to the source, all three smartphone variants will ship with an 18W charger and a USB Type-C to Lightning Cable in the box.

    New iPhone Accessories
    iPhone XR

Apple has been providing the fast charging feature in its smartphones since the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and the iPhone X launched in the year 2017. However, the devices are not shipped with a fast charger and users must purchase it separately if they want to make use of the functionality. It was rumoured last year that Apple will bundle an 18W fast charger with the 2018 iPhones but the reports turned out to be false. But with the launch of the iPad Pro tablet late last year, Apple for the first time bundled an 18W fast charger along with it. Therefore, the company is expected to provide the aforementioned accessories with future iPhone models; which includes an 18W power adapter and a USB Type-C to lightning cable.

It has been anticipated that Apple, as it did with the 2018 iPad Pro, will switch to USB Type-C in its future iPhone models. Since the iPhone 5 launched in 2012, the company has used a proprietary connector called the Lightning port. While the above reports put an end to them; it is still expected the company is towards making a gradual transition to the users, so that they find it easier to switch. Shipping a USB Type-C to Lightning cable will also make connecting future iPhones to a MacBook easier as purchasing a separate cable won’t be required.

From the popularisation of the punch hole display to the introduction of ultrasonic fingerprint scanners in the Galaxy S10 series, there has been a lot to this year. But perhaps the most innovative advancement has been the advent of folding smartphones. Samsung, the largest smartphone OEM in the world, released its foldable device, the Galaxy Fold back in February. Even Huawei, the manufacturer holding the second place, has announced its handset that can be folded into half, the Mate X will launch soon. Many other mainstream OEMs like Xiaomi and Oppo have confirmed that they are working on a foldable smartphone.

With all the aforementioned manufacturers announcing a foldable smartphone; it was expected that Apple, a renowned OEM in itself will announce a similar device soon. What the device will look like is anyone’s guess. But in a recently designed render by a reputed media house in collaboration with the Concept Creator, it is imagined how a foldable handset by the company may look like based on previously filed patents. While the actual smartphone, whenever it launches, may be different from what is shown below; the very idea of a foldable handset from a company like Apple has us excited.

    Foldable iPhone Concept

The renders designed by Concept Creator give an insight into how Apple may choose to design its folding smartphone. From a first glance, it looks oddly similar to the Samsung Galaxy Fold, albeit with a few enhancements to the design. While the concept doesn’t expose all the visual elements of the device, it implies the handset will use a large tablet-like display with an option of folding it into half. It is not clear from the video if this smartphone, called the iPhone Flex will use a secondary outer display like the Galaxy Fold. But unlike the latter, it is devoid of any notches on the inside display. For optics, Apple may opt-in for a vertical triple camera setup as shown in the images.

But, with a similar design like the Galaxy Fold, a question arises if the alleged iPhone Flex will also face display malfunctions like the former. From the looks of the concept, it seems highly unlikely. This is due to the design of the hinge, which features a closed off design, not letting foreign particles like dust get into the device. Another question is if the upcoming iPhone Flex does not feature a secondary display or camera on the outside, if this turns out true, the users won’t be able to take selfies from the smartphone.

Foldable iPhone: What About The Price?

Okay, now let’s get real here. Foldable smartphones are a unique and cool piece of technology, but there is no denying they are known to be priced at a premium. Samsung’s offering costs close to US$ 2,000 (Rs 1,40,000) and the Huawei Mate X is also rumoured to cost around US$ 2,600 (Rs 1,80,000) at the time of launch. And considering Apple products are generally more expensive than the competition, its foldable smartphone may also end up being more expensive than its rivals. However, the company is also known for one more thing. That is perfecting a technology before bringing it to the mass market.

This might suggest the wait, and the extra money for the technology may very well be worth it. Regarding the launch date of the foldable smartphone from Apple, it is rumoured the company may release one next year. The timing seems right as the technology will have been matured enough for the company to implement it. Maybe the company will not even release a foldable iPhone, or it may take a long time to do so. Whatever may be the case, if the company decides to release a smartphone like the one shown above, colour us excited.
