Looks like it’s not the best of times for Facebook. There is another potential blow headed towards the company now, thanks to Google.
Google is allowing some Android users to download apps directly from search results without the need to visit the App Store. Though these downloads are available only through organic searches and not ads yet, but we can hope to see this extension soon as well.
Now these downloads mean some not-so-good-news for Facebook which had begun advertising apps on its website a few years ago. Since then users have been able to download apps from these ads. However, since Google is allowing for direct downloads of its apps from search [...]

Rumours are that Apple will be holding a media event on September 10th – this is where they’ll possibly unveil the ‘iPhone 5S’ and the low-cost ‘iPhone 5C.’ Late last night, Apple inched closer to a final ‘golden master’ version of the upcoming iO7 7 and seeded iOS 7 beta 6 to developers.
The update comes a week after the previous update and just hours after a report pegged the Beta 6 update for next week. The focus of the small update appears to be on an emergency issue with iTunes in the Cloud which requires a workaround.
This update addresses an issue with iTunes in the Cloud, where some purchases may [...]
If you’re an HTC One owner and are not entirely enthused by the Sense 5.0 experience, especially since it runs atop older Jelly Bean software, you’re in luck.
A flashable version of the HTC One Google Edition is now available to download, and it appears to mimic the experience that U.S. buyers will have when their phones begin arriving on July 9th. The ROM was built from a system dump uploaded by Android Central’s Jerry Hildenbrand and has been altered slightly to be compatible with all HTC One models, but is otherwise unchanged.
The new HTC One Google Edition ROM will work with the [...]

One major addition in the iOS 7 beta 2 is support for the iPad and iPad mini, though support only goes back to the iPad 2.
Existing iOS 7 beta users can go to Settings / General / Software Update and [...]

For a long time, CyanogenMOD has been the salvation for many users on aging Android hardware, cutting through the bloated, slow OEM experience to bring you a clean build of Android’s finest.
Despite needing to know your way around a command prompt, Android hacking has become somewhat mainstream over the last couple of years; processes have shortened and become more straightforward and users feel more comfortable ripping the bloated sheath from a brand new phone to find its AOSP guts underneath.
As MobileSyrup reports, Milestone builds are available to users who want the latest feature [...]

Everything may seem horribly wrong at Rim but all is not lost , when the company shows up with good numbers in at least one sector. The Blackberry App World just registered 3 billion app downloads it’s seen since the launch. According to RIM, that number amounts to 2.5 million downloads a day. At present, there are 90,000 apps available through the mobile app market.
