Spice Stellar Mi 425 Review
The Spice Stellar Mi425 has gathered a lot of attention since its announcement alongside several other Android Phones from Spice Mobility. Let’s See if its performance is as stellar as its name.
Build Quality and Hardware
The stellar is nicely built with an overall rounded design. The back has a nice soft white finish and a chrome ring around the camera, the speaker grills are highlighted with red color to make them stand out. The Buttons are nice and tactile and the end product did not rattle or squeak when it was subjected to our tests.
In terms of Hardware the Stellar Mi 425 has a decent set of Specs with a 1 GHz Snapdragon processor and 512 MB of RAM, two independent switchable sim card slots and a nice and large 4 inch 480 x 800 px capacitive LCD, which is nicely responsive.
The back of the Stellar mi 425 you will find a camera which shoots stills with a 5MP sensor and has a good led flash that does a decent job of illuminating your subjects. The Video quality is however not upto the mark, especially when a 5 MP sensor is easily capable of shooting 720p HD video.
Display, Camera and Multimedia
The camera is fast and has autofocus so pictures will come out quick and crisp. Although, not a good camera app comes standard, there are tons of replacements from the Google Play store including our fav Camera Zoom FX that work great with this device. Video quality can be a let down for a few, although many people will be happy with the video quality if playing back the recorded media on the device is the agenda.
The speakers and audio quality from the handset is nice and loud, and over all worth a listen. You will enjoy the audio, several tweaks can be made using audio enhancement apps from Google Play Store. Video Playback is fast and smooth, streaming is steady and the whole multimedia experience gets an “A” from us.
Phone, Messaging and Networks
The Phone has many sim selection points throughout the interface, the notification panel can be used to switch Sim Cards, While making phone calls users can choose which card to use. Dusing messaging Master Sim and Slave Sim option is presented to choose between the two.
