Build Quality and Design
With exceptionally good quality contruction the E6M earphones present a new range of opportunity for those looking for long lasting earphones. The Elago E6M have a good quality anti tangle cable that makes them really easy to use and carry around without the worry to get a web of wires at the other end of the journey.
The design is also impressive, with Red, Black (this version) and steel accents the earphones look really premium. The design flows all the way from tip to jack which is all made with a modern look. The
The included ear-tips are soft, and do not cause a bother even after prolonged use. Overall top notch build mixed with new age design make the Elago E6M one of the better earphones.
Audio and Sound
The earphones were able to sustain quality of audio throughout different levels of testing, and the quality of audio was excellent. While you may not compliment the E6M on the way they present Low levels, the Mids and Highs are exceptionally well placed.
The E6M also gave impressive sound over varied genres of music, excelling in Classical and Theatre.
The E6M also were able to replicate studio sounds at great detail, especially when compared to higher end earphones. The online mic is also good at capturing Audio and transmitting it through with little or no ambient noise. The mic can also be used to take voice notes, considering the detail of audio it presents.
The E6M comes with an online mic and a standard 3.5 mm jack, which makes it compatible with any smartphone today. The lack of volume control is a let down for iPhone users, but a boon for Android and Windows Phone owners, As the earphones make a good match with them aswell.
While technical details are unknown for the Elago Design E6M earphones, they perform exceptionally well for the price at which they are placed. They also have great build, impressive design and good audio throughout the ranges. There were a few things that caught our attention mainly the lack of gold plating on the 3.5mm jack, the not so punchy bass (Low levels), no volume control and no carrying case in the packaging. Even so, at the price at which they are offered they present a good option if not the best.
