iPeriod: Marking the End of an Era

The discovery of ‘iPeriod’ marks the end of an era. The App becomes effective once you have recorded two cycles, after which it starts to predict when your next cycle is expected, up to twelve cycles. These predictions become more accurate as you add details over time. Apart from just being a reminder of that time of the month, it gives you the ability to record and track your symptoms, moods (with emoticons!) and fertility. This is a free app that is compatible with all your Apple devices that are iOS 4 or higher.

Not to discount the fact that each one of us must keep track of the dates, these apps are of great assistance if you have a condition like PCOS or are approaching menopause. In such situations, irregularities can be of utmost concern and have implications that are best avoided. Moreover, we are always faced with those questions from the gynecologist that we can rarely ever answer accurately!

While not critical to the functionality, customization is possible to suit your personal style. Iperiod comes with 26 free skins and 4 calendar styles. For the statistically inclined, your data can be extrapolated into graphs and for the ladies who must create a file for every occasion in life, you may also export this data and have it printed, thereafter.

If you are the quintessential workingwoman who wants to balance her life between work, family and personal health and fitness, you may consider giving this a shot.

Some other such Apps worth checking out for your android devices are ‘My DaysX – Period and Ovulation’ and ‘Period Tracker’. ‘My cycles’ is another option for your Apple devices.
