Chevrolet SAIL sedan to be launched in India on February 1
Chevrolet has officially announced on it’s website that the Chevrolet SAIL Sedan, which was revealed last month on the company’s website, will be launched in 3 cities in India on February 1, 2013. The new sedan from Chevrolet will be launched in India in a phased manner and Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore would be the three cities in which the car would be launched initially.
Chevrolet has also listed some more details about the SAIL sedan on it’s website and states the the car would come in petrol and diesel engine variants. The diesel engine used for the Sail Sedan is a 1.3 litre SMARTECH Turbo-charged Diesel Engine while the petrol variant has a 1.2 litre SMARTECH Petrol Engine.
The car comes with all the safety features which you generally fing in cars in this segment and include Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) and Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), Speed sensitive Auto Door Locks and also other safety features like Airbags, Seat Belts with Pre-tensioner, Crumple Zones, Collapsible Steering System & Side Impact Beams in the doors.

Though there’s no word on the pricing of Chevrolet SAIL sedan as of now, but rumors are suggesting that the car would be priced in the range of Rs.6.5 lakhs to Rs.8 lakhs.
