Yesterday, Canon launched it’s latest full-frame DSLR, the EOS 6D for the Indian market priced at Rs.1,66,995 and is the lightest full frame DSLR available in the world today.
The EOS 6D comes with a 20.2 megapixel CMOS full-frame sensor and features the standard ISO range 100-25,600 which can be expanded up to 1,02,400 and is powered by a Digic5+ processor using which, users can enjoy a stunning full-frame DSLR which gives superior low-light performance and that too, in a compact and lightweight design.
As far as connectivity options go, the EOS 6D comes with GPS, which enables the Geo-tagging of images. It also has Wi-Fi, which allows the DSLR to connect to other networks wirelessly using which it can transfer data to PCs and smartphones with speeds of as high as 150 Mbps. Users can also print photos with PictBridge enabled wireless printers.
Using Wi-Fi, users can also take advantage of the EOS Remote smartphone App which is available for iOS and Android and allows the smartphone to control the camera, by allowing them to browse through and download the images taken via the DSLR. Users can also change the shooting modes, adjust focus and even click a picture using the EOS Remote App.
The DSLR is capable of shooting videos in 1080p and unlike previous Canon DSLR’s, the EOS 6D now allows video recording of up to 30 minutes and gets rid of the 4GB limit. Though, that would entirely depend on the space available in the Memory card. The EOS is shipped along with the 24mm-105mm lens kit.
