HTC offers Locations on the desire HD, which a preloaded map app(non google), can u check whether the indian DHD also has this feature, and also the HTCsense.com?

htc desire hd supports hspa 900, 2100; and not 1900. due to which it is not able to use 3g network in north america. does anybody knows what operating frequency is/will be used in INDIA, so that i can make sure that DHD works fine here.

totally about 3000 duty – those guys charge duty even on the free accessories! You dont have to do anything except out shell out the cash to DHL when they deliver at home to you. Very systematic – you can track your order progress on their website and they even call you to let you know the duty amount. No warranty in India unfortunately – which is why i’m buying a silicone case and a pouch as soon as its available. Although there’s apparently a 3mth warranty offered by expansys – but pretty much impractical as you’d have to send your piece back to UK

None for me. And mine’s from expansys UK. If not launched next week just get it from expansys. There’s a good bundle offer going on which works out to 34k including shipment, customs duty and all charges. And if available it will reach your home in less than 5 days. My experience was flawless.

are there any proximity sensor issues ?? as there were some issues with the initial batches that were launched in the uk and the netherlands…..also there was some talk of some sort of gap between the aluminum unibody and the micro sd and sim card cover ??

yes the 8gb card that comes pre installed in the hand set but sd card is made by Samsung…

Just received an email response from Flipkart. I asked them when they were starting booking for the DHD. They said “some time next month”.
I hope atleast the local retailers do so before “next month”.

I’ve seen some pouches for the DHD on ebay. You might want to check those out. Also, existing pouches/cases for the HD2 may fit the DHD just fine.

Bharat I’m sure you’ll be doing this, but just for the sake of mentioning it.. Please check the battery life with absolutely everything(the Wi-fi, bluetooth, display, sound) turned on.. How much time does it stay alive when its being used fully is a factor to be tested, right? :-)

I’m going to buy this baby anyway :-P
