This is a step by step on how to get the iMovie.app from apple to run on the iPhone 3gs

imovie Tutorial – Get iMovie app to run on the iPhone 3gs / 3g / touch .

  1. Get a copy of the ipa file (don’t ask us how or where )
  2. Rename the file from .ipa to .zip at the end
  3. Uncompress the zip folder and click on the payload folder
  4. Right click on the iMovie app and click “show package contents”
  5. Look for the info.plist and open with your favorite plist editor
  6. Change the  UIRequiredDeviceCapabilities – front-facing-camera from “YES” to “NO”
  7. Save the file
  8. SSH into your phone and drop the iMovie.app into the /Applications folder and reboot
